Lucky Needle Student Review! - Mitch Clark - Basset Brigade Customer Interiors
Question- I have read your download on buying machines used. I found a great deal on an eagle 206 RB , which is supposed to be a consew knock off. Do you have any opinion of them. Beginner wanting to upholster a truck project at home. Thanks
I am working on recovering the cushions on the my patio set and this is helping me immensely. Suggestions for the 4th side of the cushion would be most appreciated. Thank you for making this easy to understand! I will have a beautiful patio set when I'm done!😆
As a service tech for 44 years, just sick of the so called experts calling it a walking foot. Compound needle feed.
Compound needle feed! Period! Not walking foot
Good tips. You may want to consider using a mat cutter (used in frame shops) to finish the final edge after the bulk of the material is removed as it will cut a perfect 45° angle.
👍🏻
Good work… My mother always said, you gotta have want to… have you considered trying using one flat piece of aluminum, about four or even 5 inches wide and rolling your cotton batting lengthwise before you lay it on the aluminum and then rolling the aluminum over the top of it nice and tight to make it slide easily into the channels or tubes… And then letting it go and pulling it out… It would bundle up the cotton tight and then when you let it go after you get it all the way into the tube, when you release it, it will loosen it up enough to pull the aluminum out and leave the cotton in and then fill up your tube nice and firm… I haven’t tried it myself, but it might be worth trying. It seems like it would be easier to get your cotton packed down so that it will have a nice dense filling in the tubes.❣️ I’m considering doing tuck n roll in my 1962 mercury Monterey convertible… I have upholstered antique fan back chairs (a stuffed rolled back) years past.. and they turned out nice and firm. Cotton does pack down after a while. I think if I do it also I will omit the extra 1/4” on the Muslim and just stitch it at the 2 inch mark. Also, you could try stitching or bringing the tubes together by overlapping them on each seam at the top and the bottom when you stitch down the final stitching, on the top and the bottom. in other words, take the difference of slack in each tube and bring it together at the seam point where the extra is divided up evenly on each seam… Rather than just overlapping one way do it both ways on each seam?
Thank you for this!
Hi John, nice to see you back, I'm just catching up with what you've been up to over the last few months.
Paint thinner and a wire brush takes the glue off like butter
Which needle is that ?
Do you ever use reinforced seams or french seams?
Yes, this method will work on those types of seams!
Awesome tip! I'll be buying some for sure. I need to make some covers for some welders in my shop. This will let me practice with it before I do anything actually exposed to the elements.
Thanks 👍
Hour long process for me, now onto getting my sunroof out to wrap that suede too🎉. Thank you great video, I also only took one of my back door panels off/ headrests and the front seats all the way leaned back and tilted back. Glad I didn’t have to take the front seats out.. came out the back door
May i ask what kind of machine is that pls? 1:24 - 1:46
Thank you sir!
I did the same exact thing you did, but when I plugged in the two plugs and tried to tilt the sunroof, it gave me this message and won’t move - “Sun Roof Slide/Tilt Anti-Trap Function!”
No one canunderstand your quick action
I don’t know why I gave you so much trouble. I got it out the back door without barely bending it at all, but I know somethings could be harder for other people. People usually make it look easy and videos and then for me ends up being a pain in the ass.
You safe my hours ❤❤❤❤
Kudos to you mate!
Thanks for the message great idea.
Is there any aerosol glues you would recommend does it matter what kind of fabric you use ? Want to try doing this on my first gen dodge truck.
thank 4 sharing this vid, hi bro, i m trying to solve thing like this,,, i am stuck in similar problem like that,,, i know to sew like that start from back and then i can turn back to hide the sew line, but how we can sew it in outside and we hide the cut line,,, i mean, what tools name for solve this case, or what machine name? i am sorry my english🙏
Thanks! Removed the trunk liner to change the shocks and couldn't get it back in! Needed to release the seat to wrap the covers back in place - couldn't have done it without your vid!
I have one of those, completely useless as it is not accurate. As you stretch it it warps, you must have a better chinesium version than I did. I had to go back and measure each gap.
Aircraft-tool makes a couple really tight and accurate ones for spacing rivets. SKU: FS02 and SKU: FS01. Mine are tight with no slop.
Interesting to see the work at height being undertaken. Here in the UK we have so many rules & regulations to follow for health & safety we would not be allowed to work without edge protection, etc., or if you did, and there was an accident resulting in death would lead to a prison sentence! A big space you have created! Thanks for sharing. Greetings from the UK!
Hello, how are you? That sewing machine is cool. My dad bought one. We're from Mexico. We just have a problem. We want to increase the speed of the servo motor but we can't make the change. I would like it if you could tell us or make a video. to be able to make that change in the engine

I could use a little help. I bought a race car but it is missing the cover which goes on the seat(bare aluminum). How can I go about making one myself on a budget even if I have to use something like an Awl for all?
Great looking shop, congrats!
Thank you!
looks great, doing the sunroof shade on mine now, thanks for the video!
